Defend Your Faith!
Lately we have been getting a lot of people who plainly claim to be Christians and who have been coming up to us trying to tear down our faith. I find it sad that someone would even try to do that. As a representative of Jesus Christ I go around trying to strengthen, increase, and encourage peoples faith. If others could only see that what we have to share will only have positive results pertaining to their faith in Jesus Christ! Nonetheless, I will not stand for any false accusations against the church. Literally everyday the last week leading up to General Conference we had people try to bash with us. Elder Shelton and I agreed that we wouldn't retaliate in aggression like they were but that we would listen and then clear their confusion and teach straight truth. We have found that the spirit is brought back and that these people are caught dumbfounded. We get a lot of "well.. uh.. mmm..." and then they grunt and walk away.. Elder Hollands talk was perfect for us because it seems like we have been doing a lot more defending than actual teaching to people who want to listen. I know that angels are on our left and our right. God sees the opposition before us but doesn't remove it because He knows it is strengthening our faith and testimonies. To quote Elder Holland- "Salvation was never easy" and I add my testimony to that. But it is worth every ounce of pain because the opposite is far greater, eternal joy.
Jesus is the Savior who came down to save our souls. He is my rock and I have never felt so sure of God's plan of happiness and my future than I do at this very moment. I don't have any more time but I promise this to all of you, that as you study and apply the messages which have been given to us by Christ, you will begin to have growth beyond your belief. I testify that trials and opposition will come haha it will without a doubt come, but only for our benefit. You are triumphant as you endure through courageously.
Stay grateful at all times for God has given us our very breathe. I feel His love for each and every one of us. I know He lives.

Favorite moment from conference: "Dieter, don't even think about it!" XD

I'll only be out for two but I'll forever be serving because the church is true!

Love you all,

Blessed be Spring!
This week has been fantastic! After enduring through back to back snow storms, spring is bringing sunshine to our souls! I've been keeping the entire district more accountable in all things and the blessings are very apparent! The Lord recognizes when we try our best, that is when he steps in and miracles begin to happen.
Sunshine brings warmth and happiness. It brings light. If you are living the gospel and loving Heavenly Father, others will see the light within your eyes and in your countenance. If you are striving to have charity and to choose the right, you will switch "sun" to "son" and people will know you are a disciple of Christ. Let the SON shine within you!

Love you all, have a great week and an uplifting easter weekend!
Christ is Risen and he lives today!

Elder Mackelprang didn't have time to write out a whole email but he did send me some pictures to share with you all.

"Easter we sang a song in sacrament and then worked all day teaching the real meaning of Easter :) It was a really spiritual day."

I love this picture of him!

March 25 & 31, 2014

Transfers are tomorrow... and.... I'm staying! Elder Tullis is being transferred to Williamstown, WV which is right on the border of Ohio. My new companion will be Elder Shelton. Was around him once while in Kentucky but I don't know much about him. Ha guess I'll find out tomorrow.

Had a great district meeting last week and we all learned a lot from eachother. This transfer has been humbling. Whenever I get any thought of slowing down or doing less than i can I try to remember Christ. I try to remember the life he lived and the sacrifice he made for me. I think about all of the people here in Clarksburg who need the gospel. I think about how much my companion and I need the gospel. I think about my loved ones. Then I pray and ask for help because I certainly can't do this on my own! The Lord is in the details of our lives. He is watching and caring for us. Trials are for our benefit and growth. Though we may not know why a specific struggle is happening, we can endure through with faith and eventually be strengthened in result of diligence. I don't want to disappoint my Father in heaven or my father here on Earth. I understand now more than I ever have how much God actually loves us. No one can fully comprehend it but i can feel a lot of the love He has for His children. No matter who you are, where you've been, and what you've done, He loves you with a perfect love. He gives us mercy through Jesus Christ which is conditioned on our repentence and obedience to keeping the commandments. Among the most important, is love one another. I hope you are all acting on the love you have for eachother. I promise you that you will feel more love as you give more love. After all it is a commandment from God.

I love you all and I pray that you can feel my love for you.
I will be tasting love soon- making musubi when we get home <3

I'm having a great time with my new companion Elder Shelton! We are seeing miracles left and right! Working our hardest to bring others unto Christ. When we allow God to take over, than are our hearts and wills changed in a manner that change our nature. The gospel of Jesus Christ isn't something to only follow, but it's something that helps us become who we are destined to become. Our potential reaches farther than the stars! It is divine! God created us and there is nothing that has power over us, not even death. I love my God and my savior. They are everything to me and I have gained a greater relationship with them so far on my mission. There are plenty of souls to be saved, including mine! This is a labor of love:)
Love ya,
Elder Mackelprang
